FAQs
how much is a haircut?
pricing varies per complexity! it takes me longer to do some haircuts over others. general pricing range is $35-55 listed as: layers only (no length trim), full haircut (includes length trim), thick haircuts, and big chops! (pricing increases in that order)
how much are color appointments?
color appointments are per individual! every case is different so it's a little difficult to give flat pricing. general price ranges are listed on my service menu page! please reach out to me via instagram dms for a quote <3
do you do barbering?
i do clipper cuts, but i'm by no means a barber~ i can do a decent fade but i wouldn't say they are as smooth and sharp as a barber could do [: clipper cuts should be booked under "full haircut"
i have box dye in my hair... can i color it?
maybe! shoot me a message with more info on your hair history and maybe we can figure it out~
worst case scenario.... you have to be okay with darker colors... pastels, lighter blues, and silvers are typically not possible until the box dyed sections grow out; unless you want it to cut or fry it off!
maintaining colored hair
how do i make my color last longer?
washing less often & w/cold water, using professional grade products, using heat protectant when styling, limiting beach time, pool time, and sun exposure will help your color last longest! however, i don't think your hair should ever hold you back; the only things i actually do in that list are washing less often, use professional products, and heat protectant... to each their own!
how can i color my hair but keep it healthy?
no matter what type of color you do, any color is going to be "damaging", because it's altering it's natural state! your hair won't be healthy unless YOU take care of it at home. i use k18, olaplex, AND brazilian bond builder to minimize damage while you're in the salon. at home i recommend using a hair mask regularly, using professional grade products, and always using heat protectant when you style!
what products do you recommend?
personally i'm a big fan of k18 & milbon for colored hair... they both can have a bit of a pricier tag but i think it's worth because you don't need a lot of it AT ALL.
k18 repair mask: 1 pump every 5-6 washes is more than enough!
k18 airwash (dry shampoo): i do 2.5 sprays on my hair parting and it lasts me a week!!!!
k18 oil: 1-3 drops depending on how much hair you have! start small and add more as you go
milbon hydration shampoo & treatment: these are great for treating colored/damaged hair~
amika is another more affordable brand that i love for all and any hair type. i typically stick to their hydrating lines more than any other. keeping your hair hydrated AND moisturized is super important for hair health <3
i stock these products at the shop here and there but please feel free to request any of them and i can pick it up for you! i get commission off of any products i sell (:
otherwise: k18 & amika can be found at sephora, milbon is exclusive to salon shelves
how often should i come back?
maintenance will depend on what we're doing to your hair! you can view a full breakdown of my service menu here
